Sheila was imported directly into Canada from the Gengala Kennels in Australia in 1992. (It's easy to work how she got her pet name!) She was the foundation bitch for my current lines, and maintained her matriarchal status throughout all of her life.She enjoyed competing in the show ring, and achieved Canadian Champion status shortly after arriving in Canada. She had a successful litter, producing among others, Arbou, Ben and Lissa.
She continued her show career, and has won Veterans Classes. She also liked to compete in junior handler classes, when she seemed very sympathetic with the young people handling her.
At 13 years of age, Sheila's health started to fail, but even in her dotage. she could sort out the boys when they annoyed her. The following picture where she had grown back her monkey whiskers, was taken in her final year - a grand old lady.
